Darius has this intimidating aura, and a strong front, but he's a real softie inside. He has a heart bigger than anything in this world could offer. He cared deeply about the people who mattered to him, a double-edged sword kind of trait.Darius came from a family of vampires, The Tré's. He has 2 siblings—both younger than him— Evan and Mara. The three siblings are somewhat run-aways. At their early age — Dar being 10, Evan being 8, Mara 7 — they already have big responsibilities as part of a royal bloodline. They are expected to hone their skills and be prepared to inherit the throne, most especially Darius, the oldest of them 3.He, however, doesn't want his siblings to carry such burden at such a young age. He wanted them to live a normal life instead away from chaos and violence. As the oldest, he had already witnessed everything that a crown gives and what it takes.So he offered to his parents, if by the age of 25, if none of the siblings awaken their powers, they won't be required to return to the kingdom. But if it does manifest, he made a blood oath to swear that they will come back to take over their responsibilities when the time comes, and that the three of them will aide in protecting it. Initially, their parents rejected the idea, but having given more time to think, eventually made them agree.They were then sent abroad to pursue education. Early school days, the timid young Darius would always get bullied, but his siblings always stood up for him.In college, Darius pursued dancing and became a famous choreographer Brooklyn. He now co-owns a dance studio with his best friend Harvey, whom eventually he made a dance crew with. They perform and compete all around the world which lead to them being known worldwide.Around the same time, as he's almost 25 years old, he couldn't shake the feeling of him and his siblings being in danger. However, his powers have yet to awaken, likely a bi-product of his parents' protection spell. So if there would be real danger, he won't be able to protect them.Drowned in those thoughts, he decided to drink through his consciousness by the beach, where he met Thalia—the siren who helped him awaken his powers.Lia tried to manipulate his memories to make him forget that he saw her emerge from the waters. However, as a creature whom had been put under a protection spell, he couldn't be affected by her mind-control. To him, Lia just looked weird at the time—like a crazy person who went in swimming in the middle of the night and was twitching to the coldness of the water after her dip.They later cleared out the misunderstanding and introduced themselves to one another, with Darius ending up telling her the story of his life, especially about his powers still being dormant. The siren used various spells to unlock the magical power inside him until she succeeded, but that led to the protection spell being broken.
